I am riding the length of the South Island in the Tour of New Zealand in support of Unicorn Foundation NZ. 

Unicorn Foundation NZ is a charity dedicated to creating a centre of excellence to help New Zealanders diagnosed with a type of cancer known as NETs (neuro endocrine tumours). 

With one Kiwi diagnosed every day with NET cancer, it is more common than cervical, ovarian or brain cancers and is the cancer which killed Apple’s Steve Jobs.

In 2015, I was part of the Unicorn Foundation Tour of New Zealand team that helped  raise enough money through the Tour to establish a new type of scanner for the first time in New Zealand.  The next step is to raise money to help create a centre for latest treatments in New Zealand so kiwis don’t have to raise up to $50,000 each to receive their cancer treatment in Melbourne. 

 I had an amazing time riding the North Island and am very excited to be able to ride the South Island with my wife Andrea , son Matt and the rest of the awesome Unicorn team

Unicorn, named for the ancient symbol of hope, offers support and help to patients and their families. Our challenge is to complete the near 700km cycle from Invercargill to Wellington and to contribute to this very worthy cause with your help.
