I'm asking for sponsorship to help raise funds and awareness for the Unicorn Foundation. This Charity works tirelessly to support people and familes going through Neuroendocrine Cancer.

There are about 350 people diagnosed each year with NET and until recently they had to go to Australia for scans and treatment. The Unicorn Foundation raised funding for the scanner and petitioned Government for Peptitde receptor medication to be funded by Pharmac. This therapy will become available in Auckland later this year. The Unicorn Foundation will continue providing help to the people and families going through this treatment. Many people will have to move to Auckland. However at least they no longer have to go to Australia!

I'm riding 650km in April, competing in the Tour of New Zealand with a team of friends. Personally, I think you should be grateful not to have to see a bunch of  semi delapidated MAMILS cry, as we try to get over some bloody big hills. As I'm the biggest unit on the team, none of these hills will be my friend. I hope not to win the lantern rouge! This is a real challenge and will be one tough week, we are sure to go through some great highs and some sore legs and butts!
